2009 is the 10 year anniversary of Iron Giant. I’m making a Dean McCoppen costume to take to San Diego Comic Con. He is one of my favorite characters of all time and it’s kind of cool that I look a little like him. I think there is a bit of Dean in all of us. I want to see Dean reciting Jack Kerouac while Hogarth keeps time on the bongos perhaps wearing some sun glasses Dean gave him. I actually already know a bunch of beet poetry. Monday night is poetry night at my favorite coffee shop. Also, I know a kid down the street who is interested in programming, I have a degree in computer science and I teach him stuff. With his parents permission I think it would be a lot of fun to take him to Comic Con, although he’ll need a wig.

Can anyone give me any tips on doing this?
